I am a Japanese historian and writer.I visited Wareham three times and wrote a book on Captain Kendrich in 1991,just in time for the bicenntenial of his visit to Japan.
Quite recently I read the news of ‘Something to fear at the Fearing Tavern?’ Are you still making research on it? I think it is John Kendrick. He had the very sad last.
I am rewriting a book on the captain. So many misunderstanding about his life, Japanese documents about his visit to make straight.
Is Mr.Benjamin Dunham still in Wareham? He kindly took me to the tavern. I still well remember it. Kazuo Sayama
